What is RD WebServices?

Thincast RD WebServices is a collection of tools containing following products: RD AdvancedSecurity (Add-on), RD Gateway and RD WebAccess. More information can be found here.

Is pricing for a perpetual license, or is it yearly?

RD Gateway licenses are one-time-payment and will never expire.

How does the licensing work?

How do I enable Two-factor authentication (2FA)?

Our Thincast Authenticatior is used for Two-factor authentication and is available for Android and iOS. After registering the Thincast Authenticator for a user (either through the RD QR Client and a QR code or by manually entering the registration information), each login needs to be authorized with in the app. For more information, please consult the user manual.

How can I enable the features from the RD AdvancedSecurity add-on?

To enable GeoIP & Bruteforce Protection, time controlled logons for users / groups and automatic certificate handling (ACME), simply purchase the RD AdvancedSecurity add-on and activate it in the application.

Is there an unlimited license available?

If you wish to have more than 100 connections or are interested in a custom licensing plan, please contact us and we will be in touch.

How do you configure the software?

Does it support running on Linux?

Yes! Basically both versions for Linux and Windows offer the same functionality, except that on Linux Active Directory access is not supported.

What is a TSRP?

In certain cases, Thincast Support might request a TSRP (Thincast Support Request Package) from you to analyze your problem.
In these cases please follow the instructions from our Thincast Support engineers.

I can't update rdwebservices on Debian/Ubuntu (public key is not available)?

If you get an error message similar to the following our current signing key isn't used or available on your system:


Err:1 https://packages.thincast.com/deb/stable/jammy thincast InRelease
  The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available:
   NO_PUBKEY 72B8A0EB44E76B45
